ephemeraHi folks - it's July's community day, and I hope Squirtle is treating you all well.
It's been a busy month in-game with multiple events and specials going on, plus the launch of trading and gifting. How's that all working out for you? Did you get lucky with an awesome shiny over the weekend? Something cool from an Alolan egg? (Thank you all for the awesome long-distance eggs!)

Happy March community day!
ephemeraIt's been another month, with today's Bulbasaur Community Day, the ongoing Eggstravaganza, Lugia returning to 5* raids, introducing the first shiny legendary, and Rayquaza "winning" the elemental legendaries challenge, triggering a Double XP event , which have all overlapped in various ways.

ephemeraFebruary's Community Day will be Feb 24th, and the Pokemon of the day will be Dratini. Oh boy am I hoping the rumours that being the featured Pokemon means a shiny variant as well as the event-specific moveset!
But first! Rayquaza is rotating in as a legendary raid boss (Feb 9th to March 16th - Kyogre's sticking around until Feb 16th) and they are releasing a further batch of new Pokemon. From the 9th to the 13th Hoenn region Pokemon will "take over" in the wild (I'm not clear on if that means 100% of spawns will be Hoenn region 'mon, or just more than usual) and Lures will run for 6 hours until the 23rd (which IMO rather undercuts them running for 3 hours on Community Day on the 24th...)
How did January's community day go in your neck of the woods? How are you going with Kyroge and other new critters? Any joy with Ex-raids?

ephemeraI just saw the news about Pokemon Go Community Days, which seem to be a new monthly event, aimed at bringing players together in real life over something other than raiding, with special event Pokemon-skill combos, bonus XP, and extended lures for a 3-hour window. First one is Jan 20th.
In other news, Groudon in on its way out as a legendary raid boss (ending 1:00 p.m. PST on January 15, 2018) and Kyogre in on its way in, and will be with us until Valentine's Day.
So, how's the Pokemon Go world looking from where you are?
