Further details on the latest update
Now that the update seems to have hit most everyone, we can refer to the patch notes in the app store versus the release notes on the website:
Any thoughts or questions about these additions/changes?
The fainting while training up friendly gyms now increases the importance of running away if you're running low on revives.
Anyway, here's the Dragon Dance to get you through your mid-week blues.
- an appraisal system that's accessible from the menu in your pokémon's info screen
- pokémon now faint when training at a friendly gym or when returned from defending a gym (apparently, it was always meant to work this way!)
- anti-botting measures

. . . Charizard looks like she lost a bet and hates everything.

I wish running away was a bit easier, I feel like I'm likely to have died by the time I've managed it. Probably if I'm pretty quick that's not actually a big risk.

There is a timing to it. Like everything else about gyms, it takes practice.

Really? What a bullshit approach -- I get that a Pokémon would come back from a gym fainted, but at friendly gyms there should NOT be a revive necessary.
Honestly, I think I'm mostly cross about the timing: They take away the MANY revives at pokéstops and at the same moment have all my mon faint all over the place (I literally had half my mon out of commission at one time), because I naturally factored in the rate of getting new revives.

"Hi Bloggess! Let's take a look at your smelly balls, shall we?"
(The Bloggess's "smelly balls" is a Ghastly.)
