Server Side Updates

This is not an update to the app. It is an update from the servers. The currently known changes are:

• new movesets for some pokémon (list of changes*)


• spawn rates of regional exclusive pokémon have skyrocketed (I've seen 3 Tauros so far today!)**


• spawn rates of rarer pokémon have also increased


• more potions are being dropped at PokeStops

Again, these are server side updates.


* That link includes a mention of the dodging change. This change actually happened a couple weeks ago. It's now only a max 75% damage reduction. (Which is still significant, but as someone who dodges a lot, I noticed the change immediately and had originally wondered if my dodging had just gotten worse due to the amount of damage I was taking.)

** There is some speculation that this in preparation for the trading feature.

Wow, I'm in desperate need of potions and I don't even do that much battling. How strange!
