Hello trainers!

Hope your week has been going well and you've been enjoying the influx of new pokemon. While your mod is sad she didn't see any Chansey during the last event, she is laughing at how cute Gen 2 is.

Here are a couple bits that may be of interest:

• Gen 2 brings the addition of two new eeveelutions: espeon and umbreon. As with jolteon, vaporeon, and flareon, you can use the rename trick to get the eeveelution of your choice. In this case, Sakura and Tamao will get you espeon and umbreon, respectively. Remember, the rename trick is guaranteed to work only once, so choose your eevee-to-be-evolved wisely. However, some determined trainers did some research and found another way to get espeon and umbreon without using the rename trick (and thus allowing you to do it multiple times). • We're getting another in-game event! To celebrate Pokemon Day on February 27, Pikachu will be getting a fancy hat from the afternoon of February 26 until the afternoon of March 6. (more info)

Too many spinaraks in my country town! But otherwise, Gen 2 is heaps of fun.

Yeah, there are lots of spinaraks where I am too. I guess they're the new weedle where I live.

I may have vocally squeed when I caught a hoppip. They are so adorable.

I caught my first hoppip this past weekend! It's very cute. :D

(Wooper is still my fav Gen 2 so far though.)

I'm really enjoying all the new pokemon and the items to evolve! I had two eevees saved up, along with a grand total of 6 wonder Zubats, so I now have an umbreon, an espeon and two crobats! Currently walking my Oddish to evolve a Bellossum, since I was lucky enough to get a sunstone from a pokestop.

I haven't had much luck getting evolution items from Pokestops but one day hopefully!

Blissey are murdering at every gym I try. ;-;

I'm so thrilled with the update, though! Gen II is my very favorite, and there's a misdreavous nest near my house so I'm snapping up all those gorgeous ghosties.

PokeGo was really my first foray into the Pokemon world so it's all new to me. That said, Gen 2 is REALLY new to me. I had some exposure to Gen 1 through osmosis.

Oh man, that's awesome. :D I'm a long-time series veteran, and sometimes I wish I could go back and rediscover the older generations again.

What's your favorite and/or least favorite gen II design you've seen so far, if you don't mind me asking?

I really like Wooper. It's super cute, especially when you make it yell. It's so angry but still so cute! In terms of least fav, I'm not sure I really get Remoraid. It just looks really uninteresting.

It's been a knarly few weeks in my personal world, and Pokemon's been a much-needed small mini-break reward thing. G2's arrival is pretty exciting, with New Things To Hunt, and I feel like I've been seeing a wider-range of G1 Pokemon around as well.

Since the G2 launch, I've added: Sentret (flying Easter Bunny!) & Furret, Hoothoot & Noctowl, Ledyba & Ledian, Spinarak, Crobat (my love of Zubats paid off ;)), Chinchou, Natu & Xatu, Marill, Hoppip, Aipom, Wooper & Quagsire, Umbreon & Espeon, Murkrow, Girafarig, Dunsparce, Steelix, Snubbul, Sneasel (who might be my new favourite), Teddiursa (so cute!), Snubub & Piloswine, Kingdra, Phanty, Tyrogue, and Blissey. And evolved a Dodrio finally!

(I also finally, finally, got enough candy to evolve the Alakazam I've been longing for, the day before the update, and got Psychic, which is now a legacy move so - woot!)

Man, I'm hoarding my two wonder butterfrees! They have the bug bite/bug buzz moveset, which is now legacy.

New additions since: Andrios (caught), Azumarill, Sudowoods, Sunkern, Misdreavus, Qwilfish, Slugma, Remoraid, Octillery, Mantine, Skarmory, Hitmontop, and Larvitar, plus finally walking enough candy to evolve Dragonite, only to get a rubbish moveset, after 170k! (plus I spent a few days in the USA and didn't even see, far less catch, a Tauros ;( )
