Hello, trainers! I know I've been bad with news round-ups lately. It's partially adjusting to having a day job again and partially there not being a whole lot of news to round up.

But I've collected a handful of links, so I thought I'd break the pattern and do a mid-week news party!

  • Pokémon Go has finally launched in India and other South Asian countries like Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. The hype may have died down elsewhere, but a new wave of trainers are coming in. I can't help but find that amazing! I know India, in particular, has been really eager for the game to go live, so I hope it meets their expectations! (source)

  • Speaking of hype dying down, I'm sure you've all heard the cries of PokeGo dying and how the release of Sun & Moon would destroy it. Nope. It's still making tons of money. The reality is that PokeGo is a mobile game. Its measures of success are different from other game platforms and what a lot of critics are missing is that the core demographic for PokeGo is different: casual players who don't play anything else and open the game occasionally to see if there's anything out and about. • And finally, Pokémon Go was the most popular Google search of 2016. (source)

Any interesting news bits from your neck of the woods?
