I'm very new to the game. I have three creatures in my collection. I went to Olive Garden near my house for dinner the other night, and lo and behold, the OG was a Pokestop!
The people at my yarn store are nerdy Ingress players, so the clock near the yarn store is an Ingress Portal/Pokestop.
Cue knitting + lures (when someone has them) + occasional shouts of "Eevee!"
The store has a range of customers, so there's a mix of gaming knitters, knitters who are like "wtf is happening", and gamers who come in with knitters and don't care how long they are there (vs being like "omg can we leave yet").
The owner has seen all the OMG OH NOSE POKEMON news stories, so she refuses to market to Pokemon players. Which is sadz. ://

I'm convinced that a fair number of restaurants intentionally put down lures if they end up being PokeStops. They should. It's good for business.
