So - how's the world of Pokemon Go with you recently? Have fun with Torchic? Excited or frustrated by the new releases? Looking forward to tomorrow's dinner hour?
My community day was a fun one, because my nephew and his mum were in town (the nephew who got me to start playing this game) so great company, great weather, plus nephew, and introducing nephew's six-year-old niece to the game. I still managed to net four shinies, despite said six-year old having my phone for a good chunk of the time, being not-the-most-efficient but a very enthusiastic hunter.
The timing of the new release Gen 4s was perfect for their visit as well - we did lots of hunting for unknown shadows in the difference, and, as I live and work very close to the meridian line (and they don't) was pleased to be able to send them home with both blue and pink shellos.
I got to play about half of the Lake Trio Dinner Hour, and enjoyed that as an event, so am looking forward to dinner hour tomorrow - my work calendar lines up this time, and I'm good with going shiny hunting, although arguably, I should be saving passes for Lapras Day...
I had a very productive CD, netting ten shiny Torchic on my account, and another eight for a friend who has the worst luck having to work community day weekends. Also got a level 1 shiny Murkrow which I'm quite happy about. And while I was playing the other account my Gotcha actually got a shiny Roselia!
Still a little salty about missing blue Shellos - both colors were accidentally released worldwide again but only for about an hour before they fixed it, and I was inside working at the time. Some other people in my local group managed to snag one or two before the region-exclusiveness was implemented properly.
Man, the shiny RNG has been smiling on me this month. A group of friends and I did 16 raids during the Lapras event; I was again playing both my account and my friend's and got one shiny for myself and two for her. Then when Cressalia came back out yesterday evening, same deal, we hit four raids, and I got one shiny for each of us. Will be nice to not have to stress too much about raids for the next few weeks!
Also the last raid yesterday was on a brand new EX-eligible gym that got created recently in a nearby State Natural Area. Here's hoping we can get enough people from our small town to raid there to trigger an EX raid, as there's still nothing else EX-eligible in our whole town - we've always had to go a town over in one direction or the other to get them before now.
