I caught a perfect magikarp! (It's like level 10, and will probably have a garbage moveset, but I will continue to be excited about it until I catch the 4 more karps I need to evolve it.)
I don't think I've caught or evolved anything new, but I did catch two dratinis within a half km of my house this week - enormously exciting! I may have to hang out at the dunkin donuts by the river this winter, to be in sighting range of the spawn points.
Local gym traffic continues to be dominated by teams other than mine, but I may have found a slightly less local spot that I can train my way into, so we shall see how that works out. I'm pretty okay with only getting a handful of coins per day, especially since I'm still light on high CP defenders, but I still get jealous of everyone who has a snorlax :( I've been trying to keep an eye out for teammates at gyms I can see from here, but I keep being away from home when they flip, lately.
Yesterday, part of my haul was training past the horde of small children who had taken over the beach gyms. Those times, I felt less guilty about parking a 1300cp pinsir.
Haven't been back to my local nest since the IV fix, so I'm also looking forward to finding a few less garbage-y specimens to evolve, tomorrow.
