Adventure Week Has Ended!

I'd love to hear about your experiences! How did you take advantage of the four times as fast? What rock types did you catch? Did the recent nest migration benefit you?

I walked to evolve to: Jynx, Croconaw, Quilava, Meganium, Marowak, Kingler, Ninetails, and Wartortle.

My rock type catches to evolutions: Golem, Steelix, Rhydon, Omastar, Kabutops, Shuckle, and Magcargo.

I was able to evolve to Alakazam, thanks to my local nest.

And I caught a Yanma!

Recent egg hatches: Gligar! And enough Drowzee for a Hypno.

I finally got my Charizard and Blastoise, and I'm on the way to Bulbasaur's final evolution too. I also managed my Alakazam thanks to a local nest!

Finally caught my first Cyndaquil. Was hoping it was a nest as there were two there on one occasion, but I haven't seen any there since.

And I finally hatched enough Ponyta to get Rapidash (never seen Ponyta in the wild).

Also got Golem, a much better Rhydon, excellent Omastar and Kabutops, decent Magcargo. The Golem and Rhydon are joining my gym team; Omastar will in cases where water attacks are particular useful.

Charmander, Squirtle, Cyndaquil and Ponyta are very rare for me, but they pop up from time to time.

I was able to evolve to Venusaur during the grass event.

I was --- thiiiis close to getting a Omanyte in my local library, but it ran away before I could catch it.

I'm still crushed.

Wow, that's some epic walking! I caught a Kabuto in the first week of the game and never saw one again until this week! Now I have a Kabutops as well. I finally managed an Omastar (though it's pretty weak), plus evolved my Graveller into a Golem, which is super great.

I got lucky, and had one of the events finally land on a weekend when I could take advantage, so I made the best use I could of the 4x buddy candy.

I've been walking my Larvitar for *weeks* (331.5 km so far) but the high speed candy on about 35k of that really helped - got me over the line to evolve through Pupitar to Tyranitar, and power up said Tyranitar to something that might stand a chance of holding a gym in my area. \m/

I also added to my Pokedex Stantler (unrelated, except I've never seen one before this past weekend, when I caught two) and Shuckle, as well as significantly upgrading my Macargo and Kabuto/Kabutops, and stocking up on Rhyhorn and Geodude candy in hopes of a strong stats hatch to come.

Yay! I only ever get Larvitar from eggs, if I remember correctly. I do have a Pupitar, but like one candy. So it's on my list for buddy walking, but I'm gonna do the closer ones first.

I got a Stantler from an egg. Never seen one around. It's so cute, looks like a reindeer!

I collected a whole lot of geodude, rhyhorn, kabuto and omanyte; I already had evolved them, but I got a really really good rhydon out of it.

I got 5 10k eggs over the course of the event, and the first two were rock type, so now I'm walking the rest to decide if the egg drops were altered for the event or if that was just coincidence.

Oh cool! Let us know the results, I'm really interested in eggs. I don't battle, so catching, evolving and hatching are what I want to learn about.

I walked with my Larvitar and got enough candy to evolve him all the way to Tyrannitar and to power him up a bit!! Never thought it would be happening in any near future ;) This was helped by hatching 3 Larvitars from 10 km eggs, which I had been collecting for a while until I got all 9. (The other 6 hatches were crap.)

Also, caught 3 small Aerodactyls (in addition to the one I already have), and enough Onyxes for another (hopefully better) Steelix. And more candy for my Rhydons and Golems are always welcome :)

Oh my gosh! I've been hoping I'd hear from someone who was able to get an Aerodactyl! I didn't see any at all.

I was so surprised myself :) Thought I'd never see another Aerodactyl in my life, after catching my 1st one last summer, in Amsterdam. Still haven't decided what to do with them - maybe keep them for trading, if that ever happens.

I wonder if I would have found one if I didn't just always go to my regular places.

Maybe also your regular play times? All my Aerodactyls appeared late at night. For one, I run out of the apartment around 23:30, it was a few blocks away, I was so lucky to get there in time :)

Ah, I wouldn't feel safe leaving my apt alone at night. I don't look at the nearby when I know I can't go out.

But I'm so glad you got to it in time!
