Pokemon Go Plus!

So excited! We finally found Pokemon Go Pluses in stock at a reasonable price! (AU$70 at Ozgameshop for any other Ausies interested). I can't wait, I might finally collect enough candies for a Gyrados. Question is, how noticeable will it be at work? I'm assuming I can shove it in my pocket...

so you just have the app open and then lock your phone and it still works?

this sounds pretty good. I worked it out, I need to walk 2632km just to get all of Gen 1, and catch 7 that I can't walk for. I haven't even looked at the Gen 2 numbers. but it is just insane.

I've seen people just clip it to their belt loops or on a pocket. It's pretty small!

I've heard some people say they use a coin and tape or a rubber band to hold the button down all the time, so they don't have to press it manually, but if I remember correctly I think that only works with Apple, and not with Android.
everchangingmuse: it's a shaymin, a cute hedgehog Pokemon (cute shaymin is cute)

The GoPlus is active for a certain length of time - a "session". You have to manually reconnect the GoPlus at the end of a session if you want it to keep counting steps and such. Also, keeping Pokemon Go open on your phone like that is a HUGE battery suck, so make sure you've got an external battery ready.

I love my GoPlus, and use it all the time when I'm out. I don't so much at work, because the wifi at work blocks game apps (I work in a school in the US), but I turn off the wifi when I leave, so I can get the steps from my classroom to my car.

That's the other cool thing with the GoPlus. If you drive or ride, it counts the accel and decel of your driving, below the mph/kph threshold. And sometimes, even if you're in a car above the threshold, you can still nab pokestops and pokemon.
