Eggstravaganza Event

Your mod apologizes for the tardiness of this post. She had a car situation to deal with and just didn't get to it yesterday.

From now until 1PM PDT on April 20, Niantic is hosting an in-game Eggstravaganza. The highlights:

• a greater variety of pokémon can be hatched from 2km eggs


• more candy is earned with egg hatches


• double XP


• Lucky Eggs are half-price in the store -- meaning that you can earn quadruple XP if you strategize!

This is such a bratty observation, but I'm trying to catch pidgeys for an evolution party. Obviously, they're not as plentiful with the addition of Gen 2 but they're still around. EXCEPT all the pidgeys I catch turn into dittos! I have nothing against dittos. They crack me up. BUT I WANT PIDGEYS.

I am loving the extra egg-candy. Now... if only I had luck getting eggs from pokestops. It seems they're being stingy with it today. xD (It's probably just luck/probability, but ehhh.)

It snowed today, so the pokewalking hasn't been great. Also, I noticed that someone in town has a red Gyarados, and oh man, I want one.

Yeah, the PokeStops were pretty stingy this morning & I had plenty of slots. Hmm.

I... almost never get 2km eggs, so I guess that's going to help not at all! *snerk* (Almost always 5km. I think I've had like. 3 10km eggs total, and I've barely seen any 2km eggs this year, IDEK.)

Double xp sounds tasty, though! I'll see if it's nice out tomorrow and if so go down to the pokestop for lucky egg+spins/evo/etc. :3

So, I'm not sure, but I've gotten nothing but 2km eggs from PokeStops since the event started! Maybe the same will be true for you!

I've definitely had more 2k eggs (either all or nearly-all 2k) since the event started - It's not unusual for me to have 9/9 5k eggs under normal circs.

Yeah, I suspect they adjusted the mix.

My usual timing is in effect - there's a Pokemon event going on, and I'm in a personal situation which greatly limits my ability to play! I did get 45 mins yesterday, though, and the XP and candy boost is no bad thing ;)
