Anyone else in North America notice a strange uptick in the amounts of Tauros showing up? What about those of you in other regions with your region specific Pokémon?

I'm definitely seeing more tauroses lately, but I didn't find it strange...?

There've always been some around here, so I thought it was part of the general increase in baseline diversity since the pidgeys and ratattas were suppressed after Halloween.

I too have seen a lot more lately, but am chalking it up to the diversity increase.

SO MANY FUCKING TAUROSES.

I mean as an Ox-Taurus I approve of them in theory but since they have no evolution once you HAVE an absurdly high cp one the others seem more than vaguely pointless.

There are definitely a lot more Mr Mimes around these parts, hanging around on street corners and looking slightly creepy.

Yes! Very much so, to my delight, because I'm very fond of them. I finally got a good one with a great move set that's worth powering up, which pleases me enormously.

ETA: And in the same time frame, waaaaay more Pikachus. For what that's worth. Hmmmm.

Yes - I'm in the UK, and have had more Mr Mimes since the bonus special ended by some significant margin. I wonder if this is gearing up for trading? (I just want it to be gearing up for trading!)

I've also had an uptick in Clefairies yesterday and today, and I'm more and more thinking that there is some kind of correlation with the moon phases.

Yes, more Kangaskhans! Vastly more! More Pokemon in general near Pokestops, but also more Kangaskhans in particular.

Yup, more here too. There would usually be one I'd notice on sightings at home about every couple days, and now I'm seeing multiple a day in the parking lot. The area where there was usually one up, there are always many up. Hard to say whether it's a relative increase or just part of more Pokemon all the time.

There's been a lot of Kangaskhan around. :D (I went from having 2-3 to 5-6+. :D)

Maybe it's a sign trading will be a thing soon and it'll be worldwide so regional Pokemon can be traded to other regions?
