Frequent Pokemon Visitors?

So I seem to be catching a lot of Drowzee in my area. So many that I have multiple Hypnos and I'm really tired of Drowzees.

Gastly also likes to show up, but those don't bother me as much for some reason. Perhaps because it's because I need a lot of candies to evolve them all the way to Haunter.

This has gotten me to be curious about other people's experiences have been.

So, what Pokemon most appears most frequently where you live?

WEEDLE. ALWAYS WEEDLE. I'm literally drowning in them, please send help.

We also get our fair share of Pidgey and Rattata, but nothing is quite so common as Weedle. (Caterpie, weirdly, are actually quite rare.) I've only ever seen a gastly once, so I'm really jealous of your haul!

At the very least, Weedles only take 12 candy to evolve up to a-- Uh, whatever they evolve into again? Kakuna. And Pidgeys only take 12 candy to evolve into Pidgeotto. Which means you can catch a bunch of them, load up on candies and stardust, and then min-max your leveling by evolving a bunch of them up. It's frustrating to see them all over the place, but they're the only reason I've managed to hit level 16 as a casual player.

Uh. For me, casual playing includes min-max strategies. I'm that kind of a tabletop gamer. :)

Pidgey, Rattata, Weedle are my most common. I've got Pidgey and Rattata fully evolved now, and just catch them now and then for practice, since I don't play a lot.

Pidgeys and Rattatas as far as the eye can see. One park gets a ton of Horseas. The boat launch gets Magnetite and Voltorbs to such a degree that you can catch enough to evolve each in just over an hour. Doduo hang out on a particular corner near my work.

Zubat. All the Zubat. Pidgey and Rattata, too, but the odd thing is that if you go twenty minutes down the road, there isn't a single Zubat to be found.

Campus is swarming with them though.

It's interesting that so many have Drowzees. In my area they're fairly rare and I've only seen one twice.

For the commons outside the usual (pidgy, rattata, weedle) around my house has a fair amount of Eevees that show up. I think I have between 6-8 of each evolution already. And bulbasaurs seem surprisingly common (I see at least on a day) which I didn't expect.

There's a random corporate business park nearby that's Magmar central and a big soccer complex that has lots of Electabuzz. And the lawn of our local art museum is full of Pikachu, which is super cool. We keep joking that its a Trophy Garden.

So. Many. Drowzees. I'm kind of sick of them, honestly. I'd like something else!

Also "common" (but not common at all compared to Drowzees) are: Jynx, Zubat, Rattata, and Horsea.

I wish I could get more Caterpies; I really want a Butterfree. But I've only seen two Caterpies so far. :c

Here in my tiny town, I've got zubats and caterpies, and weirdly, bellsprouts. And lots of eevees - I just evolved one to Vaporeon. (With the cheat? Does everyone know about the cheat? Pidgeys, Zubats, and Ratatas, with a bunch of Weedles and Caterpies -- the typical residential critters. I don't mind the Pidgeys; at least their evolution into Pigeots can get you some nice flying Pokémon of decent strength. But the rest I use just for mass evolutions and the XP plus Stardust.

Pidgeys and Rattatas and Weedles but aside from those? Zubats. So many Zubats. And a ridiculous number of Drowzees. This morning's trip to work was all about the Krabbys though. Krabbys everywhere right across the city. I have no idea where they all came from; I've never seen so many. Maybe Professor Willow is released a truckload locally as a tracking and migration experiment.

Pidgeys, Rattatas, Weedles, Drowzees, Zubats. One little kid's playground nearby spawns Hitmonlees, and there are quite a lot of Eevees on our housing estate.

At my park it's been tons of Rattatas and Pidgeys, plenty of Weedles and a few Caterpies, and several Venonats. A few Zubats, Bellsprouts, and Evees, and then most recently caught a Paras, Krabby, and Horsea, which I hadn't seen before.

One of my favourite things about this game is the way that different commons cluster in different areas. Around my home there are mostly rattatas, but on campus where I work (about 150 miles away), mostly zubats. Three of my fighting team are golbats at the moment, though I'm hoping to change that when I catch more of the rarer types. I am desperate for Eevees.

And a distant second to pidgeys if I walk a bit west.

My apartment complex is a spawning ground for all the usuals: Weedles, Rattatas, Zubats, Pidgeys less frequent but still present. Second and/or third tier here seems to be Eevees, Caterpies, Drowzees, Paras, Krabby, Shellder, Gastly.

But I also think it must have an Ingress player or two somewhere, because I can catch anywhere from 2-5 less-commons a DAY if I leave my phone open to the game. (Which I have stopped doing so much because battery and getting work done ever, but even so I have a general idea of the spawn TIMES to be checking by now. >.>)

...yes I am stupidly lucky, if it makes everyone feel better I have a SINGLE pokéstop within walking distance, so in order to restock I have to either spend money or wait to take the car out to a better location and go walking.

The usual Weedles, Rattatas, Pidgeys. No Zubats for some reason?

My second catch was an Eevee, and I noticed that the cul de sac near me has a lot of XM on Ingress (which I am actually playing not just peeking) so I'm planning on doing "egg hatching walks there" to see if the rares spawn closer to there. That is also where the grass does that weird thing on the game screen btw. So yeah. We'll see!

Rattatas, Pidgeys, and Zubats are the most popular where I am. (I've evolved multiples of all of them.) I get a fair amount of Eevees, Ponytas, and Geodudes around here, too. A lot of the gyms around here are held by Vaporeons or Rapidashes because they're relatively easy to get.
